Developer Blizzard Entertainment unveiled the new 12-month subscription mount and pet combo for World of Warcraft, the Sunflare Driftmoth Skyriding mount and the Sunflutter Driftmoth pet.
Players already on an existing 6-Month or 12-Month recurring subscription plan with a future renewal date will automatically receive the mount and pet at no additional charge, no later than July 31, 2026 (must be redeemed by July 31, 2027) through Battle.net.
- Sunflare Driftmoth Mount: Glide through the skies on the radiant wings of the Sunflare Driftmoth. Bathed in warm light and glowing embers, this luminous companion brings a brilliant touch to every journey.
- Sunflutter Driftmoth Pet: Add a spark of brilliance to every adventure with the radiant Sunflutter Driftmoth, a tiny companion aglow with shimmering wings. Bring this fluffy little companion along for your WoW Classic progression adventures, currently in Mists of Pandaria Classic.
Note that these two items will also be available individually in the in-game store, for Classic and for the Modern versions of the game.
In other WoW news, the game also received a new hotfix on July 14 that fixes a couple of quest bugs in Retail and the Challenge Mode: Platinum toy in Mists of Pandaria Classic.

Player versus Player
- Rune of Lingering damage-over-time damage no longer interrupts flag captures in PVP.
Quests
- Fixed a bug preventing the quest item for “Maisara Caverns: Master of Souls” from dropping in Mythic difficulty.
- Grand Magister Rommath has now provided a portal to the Magister’s Terrace next to the Magister’s Missive for all those seeking knowledge through the Omnium Folio Weekly Quests.
Spells
- Lighthook Grapple will now only appear as an extra action button for player-characters who are in Naigtal.
Mists of Pandaria Classic
- Challenge Modes: Platinum toys should now be purchasable from the Challenge Mode Exchange if players have earned Platinum level achievements for Season 2 or 3.
