Developer Blizzard Entertainment has taken to the official site to announce that MMORPG World of Warcraft: Dragonflight content update 10.0.5 will be soaring on January 24th. This patch will introduce a variety of changes, including the arrival of the Trading Post feature, a new Primal Storm event and more.
Beginning on February 1st, the Trading Posts start operating in Orgrimmar and Stormwind, offering new items and activities every month. Complete monthly activities to earn currency toward decking out your characters in cosmetic transmogs, and earning some pets and mounts. Check out the official blog post dedicated to the feature to learn how it all works.
In short, Trading Posts work a lot like Battle Passes. Complete certain activities from the new Traveler’s Log to earn the new account-wide currency “Trader’s Tender”. Additionally, you get a certain amount of the currency simply by logging in. Then spend it on the goodies you like!
“There are a multitude of interesting transmog, pet, and mount possibilities in Azeroth, limited only by imagination. The Trading Post will serve as a home for many more items from across Azeroth— and beyond—and is not limited by the current game content. You can expect to see a variety of fun new items to add to your collection.”
A new Primal Storm event, The Storm’s Fury, is coming. The event will spin up every five hours. When it’s active, head to the Temporal Conflux portal in Thaldraszus. Brave defenders will receive Essence of the Storm, which can be exchanged for rewards like the Skyskin Hornstrider mount or the Time-Lost Vorquin Foal pet. You can also get items to help weather the storm as the Primalists try to freeze their enemies to the bone.
Once the 10.0.5 update launches, players will be able to transmog the Common (white) and Poor (Grey) items as well. Each item will now be bind-on-equip and can be added to your Appearances collection so you can mix-and-match like the stylist you are to create the ultimate transmog sets for any occasion.
