Developer Blizzard Entertainment shared a new trailer for WoW: Midnight. If you wanted to catch up on the story so far, this one is for you. Refresh your memories on Xal’atath’s dark deeds throughout The War Within, from the destruction of Dalaran to the return of the Void Lord Dimensius. Remember: Midnight is coming.
The pre-expansion event, Twilight Ascension, is available right now. Join your forces with Grand Magister Rommath or Magister Umbric and set out to Twilight Highlands to put an end to the threat of the Twilight’s blade cult. Characters level 10 and above can participate, taking on World Quests and reaping the rewards of a job well done during this repeatable event.
World of Warcraft – Midnight Pre-Expansion Content Incudes:
- New Demon Hunter Specialization: Devourer, and New Race/Class Combo – Void Elf Demon Hunters. Demon Hunters will be able to try out the third, mid-range spec: Devourer that uses Void instead of Fel. Use specialization and Hero Talents to augment your playstyle, enabling you to dive into melee and unleash devastating combo attacks.
- Transmogrification Updates. The transmog system has been overhauled to apply appearances to gear slots rather than individual items, so you no longer lose your transmog when equipping new gear!
- Housing Updates. The new monthly, neighborhood-wide activities, Endeavors, have arrived. Complete them collectively to unlock special vendors, decorations, and currency. Alliance players get Night Elf customization, while the Horde players can add Blood Elf ones. Houses can also level up to 9, unlocking additional features.
- User Interface (UI) updates. The User Interface is introducing powerful new features, improved customization options, cleaner raid frames, expanding display-scaling controls and more. Learn more about some of the changes and updates to Nameplates, Damage Meters, Boss Alerts, and more!
- Class Combat Design Updates. Every class in World of Warcraft receives major combat design updates. This means new rotations, stronger class identities, and fresh talent choices.
- Stat and Item Squish. Numbers across the game are being reduced to improve clarity and readability. As always, your power level relative to that of your enemies will remain the same, there will simply be more relatable numbers on your screen.
- Player vs. Player Training Grounds. Players will be able to join a battle against smart game-controlled opponents in Arathi Basin, Silvershard Mines, and Battle for Gilneas.
