Developer Blizzard Entertainment revealed the next World of Warcraft: Midnight content update. Prepare to continue the story of Zul’aman and Zul’jan in update 12.1: The Curse of Ula’tek.
Join Zul’jarra as she pursues him to bring her brother and others home to Zul’Aman, delving into a long-buried history of the Coiled Isle, and learn more about what is locked away, and who was left behind.
Here’s what awaits you in Update 12.1: Curse of Ula’tek:
- The main story of Midnight continues where it left off in Zul’aman. The Loa have returned to the tribe, but old grudges and wounds run deep.
- Your adventures will take you to the new Zone: The Coiled Isle, that boasts new activities. Plunge Into the Vaults of Atal’Utek primed for challenging group content and rotating public events. Players will also be able to encounter Curse Surges and face rare Elites throughout the isle, unlocking Cursed Fishing in that location.
- The update introduces Lairs, an evolution on world bosses located in instanced encounters, for Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties.
- New Three-Boss Dungeon: Altar of Fangs. It will be available up to Heroic difficulty at the launch of the content update and will join the Mythic+ rotation once Midnight Season 2 begins a week after the launch.
- New Eight-Boss Raid: The Venomous Abyss. Face Ula’tek herself, an ancient powerful creature of hatred, corruption, and venom, who has been unleashed by Zul’jan’s actions.
- Three New Delves including a new Nemesis Delve: The Ring of Glory, Gnarldor Isle,and Venomfall Deeps Nemesis Delve.
- Midnight Season 2 Begins One Week After Launch: Mythic+ Dungeon Updates, New Players vs. Bots Arena, New Dungeons, Prey Season 2 – new targets, new affixes, and new hunts.
- UI Updates for Cooldown Manager and Ping System. The Cooldown Manager is getting some additional updates and will be able to track trinkets and potions, helping with consumable management. For managing other resources, Blizzard is making more updates to the ping system.
- Housing Updates: Save, Export, and Import Blueprints; Pets! & four new Endeavors for your Neighborhood.
- Continue the Hunt for Xal’atath with Arator – Arator deals with the fallout from the Voidspire, and players will investigate the resurgence of the Twilight’s Blade with him
