On January 30th, developer Blizzard Entertainment rolled another round of hotfixes for World of Warcraft: Midnight, focusing on changes to classes, especially the new Devourer Demon Hunter, and the Twilight Ascension pre-patch event.
If you haven’t started playing it, WoW is currently going through the pre-expansion event The Twilight Ascension that will be running until the launch of Midnight on March 2. Talk to Magister Umbric or Grand Magister Rommath to begin your adventures in the Twilight Highlands.
As a part of the pre-expansion, players have received access to the new Demon Hunter specialization, the new class-race combo (Demon Hunter Void Elves), class and UI changes, transmog enhancements, and much more. You can also take advantage of the Winds of Mysterious Fortune to powerlevel your alts.
WoW: Midnight – January 30th Hotfixes Include:
Classes
- Fixed an issue where full health targets with a heal absorb were not considered injured for some AoE healing logic.
- Demon Hunter (Devourer)
- Fixed an issue causing Voidsurge to not correctly function without Demonic Intensity.
- Void-Scarred: Fixed an issue causing Hungering Slash to not work properly after using Metamorphosis.
- Consume now generates 1 additional Soul Fragment.
- Shattered Souls now has a 4% chance to cause a damaging spell to generate a Soul Fragment (was 8%).
- Waste Not now causes Void Ray to have a 200% increased chance of generating a Soul Fragment (was 100%).
- While in combat, Entropy now grants a Soul Fragment every 12 seconds (was 8 seconds).
- Reap damage increased by 75%. Does not affect PvP combat.
- Consume damage reduced by 30%. Does not affect PvP combat.
- Fixed an issue causing Devourer Demon Hunters to sometimes switch to an incorrect voice during Void Metamorphosis.
- Mage (Frost)
- Glacial Bulwark no longer requires level 54.
- Rogue
- Deathstalker Hero Spec: Fixed an issue that caused Precise Killer to apply double its listed effect.
- Subtlety Spec: Trickster: Fixed an issue that prevented Disorienting Strikes from applying its cooldown reduction effect for Secret Technique.
Void Elf Demon Hunters
Housing
- Elegant Elven Barrel can now be added as decor.
Items
- New drops of Rae’shalare, Deaths Whisper should again be legendary.
Pet Battles
- Webbers is now properly displayed once awarded from Family Battler of Northrend.
Player versus Player
- Fixed an issue that prevented progress towards the Vicious Void Creeper mount during the PvP offseason.
- Warrior: The effectiveness of the low-health effect of Second Wind has been reduced by 50% in PVP.
Twilight Ascension Event
- Added crossbows as options for players to acquire from the event.
- Fixed an additional issue preventing visibility of “Void Perforations” if the player had completed the Firebeard’s Patrol questline.
- Quartermaster Materialist Ophinell now has an icon on the minimap.
