Developer Blizzard Entertainment kicked off the latest seasonal event in WoW: Midnight, marking the return of the Midsummer Fire Festival. Set out to major Alliance, Horde or Neutral cities to take part, earn Burning Blossoms, and purchase some goodies.
“The skies come alive with new quests that send champions soaring across Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms on aerial adventures, guided by a Sunwalker and a Wildhammer storyteller who weave together the spirit of the season with snippets of the history of Azeroth’s lands below.”
A new quest, ‘The Tale of the Frost Lord’ gives a fresh lead-in to the Ahune encounter and back to the Midsummer festival grounds. In addition to his famous scythe coveted by transmog enthusiasts, Ahune also has a chance to drop the new Sun Festival’s Painted Roc mount.
This year, new cosmetic items include:
- Ensemble: Sun Festival’s Flame Totems (Transmog Set)
- Summer Sun Blossom (Weapon Illusion)
- Sun Festival’s Totemic Edge (One-Hand)
- Sun Festival’s Totemic Greataxe (Two-Hand)
- Sun Festival’s Torchblade (One-Hand)
- Sun Festival’s Flamebrand (Two-Hand)
