Developer Blizzard Entertainment is back with more content to enjoy in MMORPG World of Warcraft: The War Within. Heroes of Azeroth can learn more about their roots by Lorewalking with the help of Lorewalker Cho, or test their skills by taking part in the Dastardly Duos.
You can meet the wise Pandaren in Stormwind, Orgrimmar, or Dornogal to get started. Players level 10 and above can explore three storylines carefully curated by Lorewalker Cho to learn more about Xal’atath, the Ethereals, and The Lich King. Each storyline consists of previous quests and a few new ones.
Each quest series provides additional rewards beyond gold and experience for completing them, including:
- [Toy] Echo of Xal’atath, Blade of the Black Empire: Call upon your memory of Xal’atath. Her voice will occasionally echo with glee when you kill a foe.
- [Toy] K’aresh Memory Crystal: Take on the appearance of a K’areshi.
- [Toy] Royal Visage: Remember the tale of Arthas Menethil. You take on his visage. “Prince… or King?”
With Dastardly Duos, experience a new event providing a variety of cosmetics, toys, and even some dungeon items based on the bosses you encounter. Team up with other players or venture out solo and to take on ‘animatronic’ versions of past bosses, gain powerups, and strive for higher and higher scores for bragging rights. You and your party will fight two (or more) bosses at a time to rack up your highest score.
Four available bosses storm the stage in week one, with more joining the madness each week, culminating in a full roster of 10 chaotic boss encounters before the event ends. With new bosses being added, the pool of possibilities is endless.
When: June 3 through July 14
Where: Queue up solo or with a group of friends through Xyggie Marou in Dornogal, Orgrimmar, or Stormwind
Requirements: Level 80
Each week during the event, Vinnie Sweets will dole out a fresh quest starting with “Who are the Dastardly Duos?” for a sweet Dastardly Prize Purse containing Champion-track gear and a Dastardly Banner toy. New rewards are available each week, so don’t forget to drop by!
