Developer Kuro Games is back with another story cinematic for aRPG Wuthering Waves. Titled ‘The Elixir of the Trials’, it is a part of Cantarella’s story – so watch out for spoilers if you didn’t finish it yet! It is one of her many actions that paints her as more than a villain other Rinascitans believe her to be.
“At last, through the shadows, we reached the end.”
A mysterious noblewoman, her beauty as captivating as it is perilous, Cantarella is the thirty-sixth leader of the Fisalia clan. Her family opposes the Montelli clan, putting Rover in a rather awkward position between the two in Version 2.2, at least until a certain point.
When you lock eyes with her, for a moment, it seems like you glimpse something in the ocean’s depths—but you are unsure if it is the shadow of a giant sea creature… or the tail feathers of the Celestial Steed. Clusters of jellyfish sway in the gloom, their translucent tentacles knitting an eerie cradle beneath the waves. Lost souls slip into the vortex of their languid dance, ensnared by the lull of rhythmic tides. Deeper still, a primordial call hums through the dark—a chorus of phantoms murmuring secrets to the sea.
The Elixir of the Trials, and Cantarella’s quest at large, show the side of this mysterious woman that had been meticulously hidden from everyone.
In terms of gameplay, Cantarella is a new 5-star Havoc/Rectifier Resonator that has both strong on-field and off-field presence. She is a powerful generalist with plenty of teams and a lot of viable weapon choices, so you can do no wrong by pulling her… unless you are waiting for Zani or Ciaccona. Or both, for that matter.
