It’s been over a week since Kuro Games launched the global version of anime action RPG Wuthering Waves. Having gathered player feedback, the developers have shared a new message on the official site to outline future adjustment directions.
“We apologize for the deficiencies and issues present in Wuthering Waves, our first fully independently developed and globally published game at Kuro Games. We understand that this has affected your gaming experience, and we are working to improve it for those who love the game.”
Here are some points that will be addressed in the game’s future:
- Echo Development feels grindy and inadequate energy materials. The developers are aware of the concern, and have plans to adjust the progression system over the upcoming versions. Version 1.0 will see a limited-time Echo material double-yield event. Starting with Version 1.1, the yield of Echoes and Echo development materials will be increased.
- Regarding the handling of the reward system error when recycling developed Echoes. On May 29, the developers learned of an issue with the Echo recycling system. The amount of Shell Credits it provided players when recycling developed Echoes was wrong. Following emergency measures and an internal discussion, the devs have decided to compensate all eligible players with Shell Credit x 1,000,000.
- Additionally, to address the poor experience with the Echo system, the team compensate all Rovers with Crystal Solvents ×20.
- Errors in 5-star weapon descriptions. The description of the 5-Star Weapon “Verdant Summit” in the game in certain languages contained a mistranslation. All Rovers will receive a one-time compensation of Forging Tides ×5.
- On Version Events. The developers are currently in the process of redesigning the rules and reward schemes for the upcoming events. A new limited-time event “Wuthering Exploration” will kick off on June 13.
- On Future Version Updates Timeline. The release of subsequent content in version 1.0 had been advanced to start on June 6. This release will include the Companion Story “Solitary Path” for Resonator Yinlin, the Featured Resonator Convene event “When Thunder Pours” for Yinlin, the limited-time challenge event “Alloy Smelt” along with many more spin-off events and features.
- Wuthering Waves Version 1.0 will last until June 28. After a scheduled downtime, the game will update to Version 1.1 “Thaw of Eons”. It will include a new area “Mt. Firmament,” new Resonators “Jinhsi” and “Changli,” and a new boss “Jué.”
- The game will receive further combat and control experience optimization. In future versions, the developers will also contstantly improve the event signification and game feel design for characters and monsters, enhancing the overall combat experience and positive feedback during battles.
