The developers of the open-world action RPG Wuthering Waves held a special program today, dedicated to the upcoming version 2.2 update. This update promises to be shorter than others, yet it’s remarkably full of new features and content. Don’t forget to activate the livestream promocodes while they are still active!
The time had come to uncover the truth about the Blessed Maiden and the Imperator in the new story quest, The Maiden, The Defier, The Death Crier. Alongside Cartethyia, the Rover embarks on a journey into the past to reveal the most deeply hidden secrets of Rinascita. However, the new enemy, Fleurdelys, won’t make it an easy task.
Rovers will get to meet new characters in the update, including Cantarella, the matriarch of the Fisalia family, and Ciaconna, a wandering bard. The update also introduces several new locations to explore, ranging from the serene Beohr Waters behind Porto-Veno Castle to the surreal, gravity-defying realm of the Avinoleum Theology Seminary. Besides the main story, the next version also brings new exploration quest “Should the Shooting Star Blaze” and Cantarella’s companion story “A Fleeting Night’s Dream”.
The 2.2 update also introduces new events, challenges, and further improvements to graphics and user experience. Most notably, the update will overhaul character and weapon upgrades with a streamlined supply box access system. Another key feature will enhance the main questline experience, adding the review option for players.
Additionally, the update will expand graphic settings, allowing players to fine-tune brightness, saturation, and contrast to their preference. The optimization of the update and download system came to PC, yet the mobile version will receive the pre-download option only in 2.3.
Last but certainly not least, the new update grants the Rover the power of Aero, introducing a brand-new gameplay style for the game’s protagonist. New echoes will enable players to harness a special sonata effect, perfectly complementing the Rover’s newly gained abilities. And that’s not all—completing the main story quest will reward players with an exclusive 5-star sword: Bloodpact’s Pledge.
