The developers of the open world action RPG Wuthering Waves introduced the upcoming events and characters of the next Version 2.5: Unfading Melody of Life. The time has come to welcome Phrolova to the team, but before that we should discover the truth about her past in the brand-new area coming in the update, arriving July 24.
Main Quest Chapter II Act VII Dreamcatchers in the Secret Gardens: Rovers will engage in a game of wits with Phrolova and uncover the secrets of Threnodian hidden beneath the sea within the Fabricatorium of the Deep. This high-tech area, isolated from the world, produces echoes—but it also holds the secret of Phrolova’s past, which the Rovers must uncover. However, the journey will not be easy, for three forces will clash at the seabed, each pursuing their own goals.
Version 2.5 introduces Overture quests – a new series of brief adventures that set the stage for upcoming Main Quests. The first installment, “Rust, Sword and the Sun,” explores Augusta’s past through “Epic of the Blazing Sun” gameplay. Players will revisit Augusta’s defining choices and discover alternate outcomes of her life’s journey.

New Optimizations Include:
- Echo Management update. This feature allows you to set up Auto-Lock or Auto-Discard plans in the Data Bank. You can create management plans for Echoes based on quality, COST, Sonata Effects, and Mainstats.
- Echo Sync Tuning. With the Sync Tuning option enabled, Tuners will be added automatically as you upgrade an Echo, which allows Echo Tuning to synchronize with Echo Upgrade.
- More Preset Teams. Following the V2.5 Update, you can have up to 10 preset teams.
- On/Off Option for Resonator Skill Music. The Skill Music option is available for specific Resonators. It allows you to turn on or off the background music that accompanies the casting of their abilities.
