The developers from Monster Couch have announced that the acclaimed board game Wyrmspan will be coming to Steam. The reveal came along with a short trailer, featuring the game key visuals and hints on the gameplay. The game draws inspiration in draws inspiration from Wingspan, taking the best of its mechanics. However, bringing unique elements to the board, Wyrmspan remains a stand-alone experience. For this the tabletop version of Wyrmspan has received many praises and multiple award nominations.
Wyrmspan is a card-driven engine-building game for 1 to 5 players. The game is set in a world where dragons of all shapes, sizes, and colors roam the skies. Players become a beginner dracologist and look for new species among the labyrinth and ruins, roosting them in the sanctuary. Over the course of the game, players excavate additional spaces and entice dragons to live there, chaining together powerful abilities and earning the favor of the Dragon Guild.

- Excavation Mechanic: Players build a sanctuary across three cavern types (Crimson, Golden, Amethyst). Cave cards are played to open new spaces and excavate deeper, allowing more dragons to be placed.
