Get your pockets ready for some awesome new monsters with a new demo for Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago
There’ another Steam Next Fest addition to the headlines today. An adorable Tamagotchi inspired idle adventure has just dropped a demo as part of Steam’s gaming festival. Players who have some spare time and remember the days of keeping your digital pe alive can grab a trail run in this pixelated fight for nature.
Playing as a Guardian Spirit, you’ll drop into a realm where the Evil Frog Lord has been spreading suffering across the land. The Fairy Queen has tasked you to look after the heroes of this realm. You are to guide them. Nurture them. Lead them towards success against the dark terrors of this world. However, these tiny heroes aren’t necessarily ready to strap on a sword and head out to do good. Somebody needs to raise the realm’s next champion–from egg to adventurer.
Turning your RPG expectations on their head, this time you’ll need to take care of tiny adventurers a in something of a pet simulation. Keep them safe, grind quests to keep the local town safe, nurture, entertain, and feed your new prodigy. Mixing the cute retro aesthetic of old school Pokémon and Tamagotchi with modern idle RPG ideas, this is a demo that probably won’t require quite the same reaction time as the likes of Robocop. Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago will be featured in Steam Next Fest, where audiences may experience this adventure in a free demo.
