Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.1 and the game’s second anniversary are almost upon us. To celebrate the arrival of the long-awaited Remielle Dan, first-generation Void Hunter, developer HoYoverse teased fans with a number of trailers and videos. While they show different time spans and events, they are all centered around dancing in one form or another.
In her animated short ‘Day of Silence,’ we are treated to a quick look at Remielle’s life before she became a Void Hunter. We also get a rare chance to see the old gen Void Hunters interact: Remielle herself, Beliora Vike, Sunbringer, Joyous, Swordmaster and the yet-unnamed Leader of the Falkenhayn Mercenary Troupe. However, as such things usually go, it doesn’t stay wholesome for too long.
“Back then, we all thought… this would be the beginning of another miracle. But in the end, all we got… were nothing but lies that come at the cost of life.”
In her demo, Remielle shares two dances with Sunbringer – their younger selves back before the fall of the old capital, and the current versions. The parallels are strong, but it is obvious that many things have changed since Remielle’s awakening.
“It’s only now that I finally understand. Perhaps… I never really knew the real you.”
Lastly, there’s Remielle’s EP ‘Two to Tango’ which shows her sharing a dance with our protagonists – both of them, so neither Belle Mains nor Wise Mains feel slighted. She also shares a dance with herself because no charming, mysterious pink-haired girl deserves to go without.
