Developer HoYoverse had been on hand during the latest livestream to bring players up to speed on Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.7 “Champions Never Fall to the Past”.
Following a brief music break with the idols in V2.6, it’s time to return to the main story in the new chapter “Eridan Sunset (A)”. The Proxies and many familiar factions are about to take part in a Hollow Championship sponsored by TOPS. Not only Billy and the Proxies are there, but also Krampus’ Executioner Promeia, and the newly arriving Velina and Norma.
Additionally, the update will introduce two new playable characters: Nangong Yu (Ether Stun) and Cissia (Electric Attack), as well as the reruns of Yidhari and Seed. Whether you’re pulling or skipping, don’t forget to grab your polychromes from the stream! The code is active for a limited time.

The Championship announcement sweeps across New Eridu like a tidal wave, spreading even to the Outer Ring. In addition to a plethora of smaller prizes that are enough to entice a bloodbath on their own, the Champion will get their hands on something truly special: a Porcelloy W-Engine that has a unique ability to stabilize Ether. Cunning Hares, Sons of Calydon, PubSec and even Krampus are there to try their hand in getting this rare weapon.
Among the figures emerging from the shadows is the infamous Black Wolf Romeul. In battle, Romeul can activate a Corruptive Barrier, increasing his CRIT Damage Resistance and Interruption Resistance while causing opponents to continuously lose HP. Teams capable of delivering sustained Anomaly damage can break through this barrier more efficiently, adding a new tactical layer for those who challenge him. Sorry, Miyabi, back to the bench with that anti-Crit.

As an S-Rank Ether Stun Agent, Nangong Yu enhances her team’s Anomaly Buildup Rate against Stunned enemies. During combat, she automatically regenerates Downbeat over time, with additional Downbeat restored whenever a squad member inflicts Anomaly on enemies. Once sufficient Downbeat has been accumulated, she can unleash powerful charged attacks that extend the enemy’s Stun duration while accelerating her own Stun and Anomaly buildup, setting up the perfect stage for teammates to deliver powerful follow-up attacks.
Her Ultimate can activate Ether Veil: Delusion Reprise, boosting the entire squad’s Attack. With her brand-new outfit now available, Nangong Yu is ready to present both her performance charisma and battlefield competence. Proxies can unlock an exclusive faction wallpaper after collecting all members of Angels of Delusion.

Cissia of the Metropolitan Order Division will also enter the race with her distinctive combat style. As an S-Rank Electric Attack agent, Cissia gains three stacks of Venom upon
entering battle, with each stack of Venom dealing Electric damage while temporarily increasing her own CRIT Rate. Although Venom gradually dissipates over time, Cissia can
generate additional stacks through her EX Special Attack.
As the stacks accumulate, she may expend them with her Basic Attack: Serpent’s Kiss, unleashing bursts of damage at critical moments.

An unexpected but certainly welcome addition is the newest animated short “The Three-Pronged Pact” that shows how the higher ups of TOPS decide on the next move. Additionally, it touches on the changes in Hollow Zero and Void Hunter Weapons after the return of the Creator, which presents a unique opportunity – as does the presence of Youkai.
