Developer HoYoverse is about to kick off the latest event in Zenless Zone Zero. Take part in Shadow Riptide Clash, running between January 9 and January 26, but note that you have to be Inter-Knot level 20 to participate and have finished Main Story Chapter 1 – Intermission.
During the event, Proxies can talk to Zhao in Failume Heights and head to the HIA to find Lyla and participate in the brand-new VR Challenge stages. Over the event’s duration, five Alliance stages, five Frontline stages, and three Clash stages will be available. A new themed stage will be unlocked each day. Completing each themed Alliance stage will unlock the corresponding Frontline stage. Clash stages will also become available over time.
Each event stage features a corresponding Tactical Buff mechanic. Proxies can achieve higher ratings by making strategic use of the combat buffs provided by these Tactical Buffs:
- In the Alliance and Frontline stages, Proxies can choose from the available trial Agents and Bangboo to participate in the challenge.
- In Clash stages, Proxies can only use the trial Agents provided for the challenge.
Clash stages will use a brand-new scoring system. When Proxies use Agents to deal DMG and execute specific techniques during the stage, they will earn corresponding points. When Proxies use Agent Ye Shunguang to launch different techniques within a specified time frame, they will accumulate Technique Combos. Technique Combos will provide additional score multipliers. During the Technique Combo state, if no skills are used for an extended period, the Technique Combo state and multiplier bonus will be lost.
Completing the Shadow Riptide Clash challenges will provide Tuning Calibrator, Polychromes, and other rewards.
