Developer HoYoverse has taken to the official HoYoLAB page with the overview of Ellen Joe power-up, coming in Zenless Zone Zero 2.0!
As the game’s very first limited character, released all the way back in V1.0, Ellen is an Ice Attack S-rank agent that belongs to Victoria Housekeeping Agency. After the 2.0 update, Ellen can enhance her combat abilities by unlocking her latent potential, gaining the new skills Basic Attack: Icy Blade and Basic Attack: Glacial Blade Wave, and increasing her team building flexibility.
Her passive mechanics will also receive an update to provide her damage output with a significant boost. Let’s check them out!
After the V2.0 update, Proxies that have obtained Ellen will be able to participate in the Shark Frenzy event. Clicking the “Activate Potential” button will instantly activate Ellen’s enhancements. Afterward, a new toggle will be added to her Skills interface, allowing players to control her activation status.
Previously, Ellen’s team required another character of the same element or faction to activate her additional ability: Rising Storm. After the enhancement, it will be expanded to include a Stun agent option. Potentially, this allows Ellen to employ Lighter, Trigger and Astra Yao without losing the bonus.
