Developer HoYoverse had been on hand during the latest livestream to present Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.0 – Where Clouds Embrace the Dawn. This is the biggest update to the game yet, introducing Season 2, new areas, heroes, mechanics, enhancements, overhauls, and more!
Additionally, Version 2.0 coincides with the game’s first anniversary, which means bountiful rewards. Let’s check it out!

In Version 2.0: Where Clouds Embrace the Dawn, the Proxy siblings will embark on a brand-new adventure that will bring them to Waifei Peninsula. The two will be studying under shifu Yixuan from Yunkui Summit to master their newfound Ether abilities. There, the duo will also meet Senior Disciple Ju Fufu and Pan Yinhu, the newest agents to join the roster.
Prepare to explore Failume Heights, the major city of this new region, help manage the operations of Suibian Temple, forge alliances with fresh faces, and face off against fearsome enemies in expanded Hollows.
The Lemnian Hollow lies nearby, it is an area rich both in resources and opportunities, but also fraught with danger. The perilous Miasma is widespread within the Hollow, allowing fearsome foes to gain shields and enhanced abilities under certain conditions. Proxy’s new abilities will surely come in handy to help repel them!
The game will receive a number of optimizations, including the navigation system update, Hollow exploration update including the new Perception Technique and Marcel Files. While exploring the Lemnian Hollow, you will have to watch out for the aforementioned Miasma & Corruption.
As a part of the Anniversary celebration, Proxies can look forward to receiving a total of 30 free pulls, and a Standard S-rank agent and Standard S-rank W-Engine of their choice!

Phase I:

Yixuan, also known as the Grandmaster, will join the combat as an S-Rank Agent. With her unique Attribute Auric Ink and Specialty Rupture, Yixuan ignores enemies’ Defense and deals all damage based on her Sheer Force, which can be increased according to her Attack and Max HP.
She also utilizes a special mechanic called Adrenaline instead of just regular Energy, and possesses 2 distinct Ultimate modes for varied combat scenarios, bringing Void Hunter-level prowess to the team.
Also stepping into the spotlight is Pan Yinhu, Yunkui Summit’s A-Rank Physical Defense Agent, who proves that even a kitchen-savvy panda can be a force to reckon with.
Phase II:
- S-rank: Ju Fufu (Fire Stun) & Caesar (Physical Defense);
- A-rank: Ben Bigger (Fire Defense), Corrin (Physical Attack);
- S-rank W-Engines: Roaring Fur-Nace (Stun) & Tusks of Fury (Defense);
- A-rank W-Engines: Big Cylinder (Defense), Housekeeper (Attack);
Joining Yixuan is Ju Fufu, the senior disciple of Yunkui Summit, who will debut as an S-Rank Fire Stun Agent. Ju Fufu and her mighty weapon Hu Wei can accumulate Might and Momentum points to deal both Physical and Fire damage. Her Chain Attack grants the entire team the Tiger’s Roar effect, boosting the squad’s CRIT DMG as well as the damage of Chain Attacks and Ultimates.
Completing the squad is Belion, an S-Rank Bangboo from Yunkui Summit.
