Developer HoYoverse announced the Zenless Zone Zero – Version 2.2 special program, debuting on August 22 on the official YouTube and Twitch channels. The new update, titled ‘Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night’, turns its attention back to the Obol Squad. Considering the stories of Soldier 11 and Trigger, chances are that we’re switching back into Depression Zone Zero after having some lighthearted time at the beach with Alice, Yuzuha and Manato.
During the stream, players will be able to see first a preview of the Version 2.2 content, as well as the first glimpse into the abilities of Seed and Orphie & Magus. There is also some teased history between the Obol Squad and the Exaltists that will be unveiled during the stream. Of course, as per tradition, the developers will also share a promocode containing some Polychromes, so stay tuned!
Zenless Zone Zero is currently going through Version 2.1: The Impending Crash of Waves, Phase II. Proxies can spend their gacha pulls on the newest Anomaly, Alice (Physical), and her signature W-Engine. On the other hand, Yanagi also enjoys her first rerun. Version 2.1 is the perfect opportunity for players to build their Anomaly roster between the stacked Phase I (Yuzuha & Miyabi), and the currently ongoing Phase II.
However, when you look at the Seed & Orphie reveals, they’re both Attack Agents – just like Soldier 11 and Soldier 0: Anby. Let’s all be Attack and not tell Trigger! It will be interesting to see if there’s synergy between Defense Force members, or if they all prefer they own patchwork teams.
