Developer HoYoverse held the latest special program dedicated to the upcoming Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.8. During the livestream, the team shared the trailer, the upcoming banners, events, and a hint at the story to come.
In the update, officially launching on May 6th, the Proxy and their friends will continue their pursuit of the mysterious Ramiel that had taken off with their hard-won Flint Porcelloy W-Enginge. Meanwhile, Promeia, Billy and Cissia join forces with the protagonists to figure out her true intentions, but during their investigation the group will encounter an unexpected twist, both risk and opportunity at the same time.

As the executioner of Krampus, Promeia is an S-Rank Ice Anomaly agent who excels at triggering Abloom on enemies by consuming Trial by Cold, which can be obtained by converting Corrosive Chill. Her EX Special Attack activates the Bound Absolution state, allowing her to automatically trigger a Perfect Dodge when attacked. When the squad includes another Anomaly or Support agent, she can also boost the squad’s Abloom damage.
Phase II:
- S-rank characters: Starlight Billy (Physical Rupture), Orpie & Magus (Fire Attack)
- S-rank W-Engines: Starlight Rider Faceplate (Rupture), Bellicose Blaze (Attack)
- A-rank characters: Pan Yinhu (Physical Defense), Komano Manato (Fire Rupture)
- A-rank W-Engines: Grill O’Wisp (Rupture), Tremor Trigram Vessel (Defense)
Starlight – Billy, an S-Rank Physical Rupture agent, is Billy’s fully upgraded form, funded by half a year of his salary paid in advance. Armed with a combat motorcycle and his signature Starlight Knight flying kick, he delivers massive Physical burst damage. Starlight – Billy increases his Sheer damage based on his maximum Health, and the Physical damage dealt by all his attacks is considered Sheer damage. Additionally, some of Starlight – Billy’s skills can restore his own Health. Starlight Billy’s Ultimate unleashes his signature powerful kick, dealing a large amount of damage to enemies.
Zenless Zone Zero – Version 2.8 Events, Features and Additions Include:
- Brand-new attribute enemy and a new Vortex combat mechanic. When certain enemies are inflicted with the Wind Attribute Anomaly, applying other Attribute Anomalies will trigger Vortex instead of Disorder, dealing AoE Anomaly damage matching the corresponding element.
- New main story chapter – Eridan Sunset (B). Who here is awaiting the night?
- New Miyabi outfit: Dignified Blossom.
- New check-in events for a total of Encrypted Master Tape x10 and Boopon x10

This vinyl set includes classic in-game tracks and character themes from Zenless Zone Zero, presenting the game’s soundtrack to players in a beautifully crafted physical format.
