Developer HoYoverse had been on hand during the latest livestream dedicated to the upcoming Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.2: Their Secret Histories, debuting on September 9. The update introduces the brand-new Specialty: Armorer, two new characters, buffs for Koleda, outfits for the Angels of Delusion, and much more. Let’s dive right in!

- FLINTWORKS
Flint Workshop’s dynamic duo takes the stage in Zenless Zone Zero – Version 3.2 which will take the Proxies to the Shrouded Reef’s special zone, Vyrium. Traveling there is required to further treat the mysterious mutated power within their body, only to discover that Roscaelifer had been long since quietly infiltrated by TOPS. Meanwhile, a shipment of Porcelloy from Flint Workshop vanishes without a trace, drawing Roxy and Claret into this tangled mess along with the Proxy.
Following the clues, they arrive at a research facility deeply connected to Helios Academy. Lindverne Sunbringer, the Airspace Patrol Department’s Administrative Director and one of the three Sunbringers, also commissions Claret to investigate the Porcelloy within the remnants of Girtablullu. More secrets will come to light during this story, including those of “old classmate”, an “old friend” reunited after years apart, and those buried by Sunbringer.

Armorer is a brand-new Agent Specialty introduced in Zenless Zone Zero, built around balancing offense and defense as its core. It features the all-new Maim and multi-CRIT mechanics.
As the first Armorer Agent, the S-Rank Electric Agent Claret — head of the Flint family and Administrative Director of Flint Workshop — can accumulate Gash on enemies through attacks. Once fully stacked, Gash is applied to the target, and hitting them with specific skills triggers Maim, dealing additional DMG and granting a Laceration DMG
boost.
All of Claret’s skills use DEF as their base DMG multiplier. When her CRIT Rate exceeds 100%, the excess portion triggers multi-CRIT, calculated with Laceration DMG in place of normal CRIT DMG. Additionally, her initial CRIT DMG is converted into initial CRIT Rate at a certain ratio, making the accumulation of DEF, CRIT Rate, and CRIT DMG the key to building her.
Additionally, the Armorer Specialty possesses the ability to trigger the Counter Assist mechanic, allowing them to contest certain enemy Control Skills and push
them back. Claret’s exclusive Signal Search channel will be available during the first half of the version.
Phase II:
- Roxy (S-rank Wind Stun) & Promeia (S-rank Ice Anomaly)
- Crimson Moon Casket (S-rank Stun W-Engine) & Frostfall Sickle (S-rank Anomaly W-Engine)
The S-Rank Wind Stun Agent Roxy — chief smith of Flint Workshop —has her core mechanic built around Eyes of the Storm: holding her EX Special Attack creates a tornado on the field, forming an Eye of the Storm, following which it can gather and detonate Eyes of the Storm on the field to create one massive tornado. Her Ultimate can generate multiple tornadoes that unleash a powerful strike at enemies in front in a large area.
Roxy’s exclusive Signal Search channel will be available during the second half of the version. For reruns, the first and second halves will respectively feature the return of S-Rank Agents Nangong Yu and Promeia along with their Exclusive W-Engines.
