Developer HoYoverse is back with the first teases for the upcoming Version 3.0 in Zenless Zone Zero. From the Season 3 Outlook Dev Talk, we’ve learned that we will be going to Roscalifer, the flying utopia island ruled by Lady Sunbringer. Besides finding out more about another Void Hunter and further pursuing Ramiel, we will also officially meet Pyrois.
Pyrois – Ether Attack
The power hidden inside Phaethon all along, or what we call the legacy of Helios Academy, will officially make their appearance to everyone in the form of the Etheric Other, Pyrois. They will be just like any other Agent, supporting the Proxies in combat. Of course, this also means that the past events in Helios Academy will slowly surface and make their way to Phaethon in the story that follows, whether it be by chance or otherwise.

In Ancient Greek mythology, Pyrois and Eous were among the four Horses of Helios that pulled the sun chariot across the sky. In one tale, Phaethon, a mortal son of Helios, attempted to drive the chariot, but the ride ended in disaster: Zeus strikes Phaethon down with a bolt of lightning, leading to his body plummeting into the river Eridanus.
Velina – Wind Anomaly (S-rank)
Velina, head of the Roscaelifer External Strategy Department, will be joining in Version 3.0 Phase I as our very first Wind Anomaly. Norma says that whether it’s annoying paperwork or stubborn adults, Velina can handle it – she is a highly efficient problem solver. Her officers admit that she’s very reliable, but the way she goes about fixing your mess can be…. unique.
From what the developers revealed during the V2.8 livestream, it is likely that Velina’s kit will have unique interactions with the Windswept status and Vortex effect. What are the chances she plays from Ablooms and will work with Promeia? Stay tuned to find out!

Norma – Fire Stun (S-rank)
You thought it was Electric Attack that had been in overabundance, but it is me, Fire Stun! Norma also belongs to the Roscaelifer External Strategy Department as the Chief Technician, where she works alongside with Velina. Working with others might not be her best suit, but she is certainly a master when it comes to tech.
Her catchphrase is “Destruction is the mother of creation”, which is why the hallways are fixed with fire suppresion systems every thirty meters, all to ecourage the flourishing of creativity.
