Wuthering Waves – Version 2.4 Trailer & Overview

The anniversary celebrations are drawing to a close, and today Kuro Games held a special program revealing what awaits us on our continued journey through Solaris in Wuthering Waves Version 2.4: Lightly We Toss the Crown. The update goes live on June 12th.

This time, our path leads to the land of epic battles and fearless gladiators – Septimont. Unlike the citizens of Ragunna, Septimont’s people value strength above all, worshiping heroes rather than divinity. Through the Great Agon tournament, warriors fight in pairs with their Echoes, competing for the prestigious title of Champion.

The new Main Quest update is Chapter 2 Act 5: Shadow of Glory and Act 6: Flames of Heart. With Carthethya missing, Rover – as the only one who can sense her frequency – must follow the trail. This investigation leads to Septimont, but the truth behind Carthethya’s disappearance can only be uncovered by winning the Great Agon and earning an audience with the Lioness of Glory.

Version 2.4 will bring not just new areas to explore, but a whole list of updates and changes. Let’s take a closer look, and don’t forget to cash in your Astrites!

Wuthering Waves – Version 2.4 Banners Feature:

Store Echo Aspect Set: Premium Aspect Dawn upon Thorns

New Sonata effects:  

• Aero Erosion – Boosts Resonator’s Crit. Rate and Aero damage when attacking enemies affected by it.
• Flaming Clawprint – Provides bonus to Resonance Liberation

New Deluxe Outfits:

• Changli – Laurel Nymph
• Carlotta – Splashing Summer

Events:

• The Great Agon Gifts of Grand Opening – Log into the game after 2.4 release to claim 10 Radian Tides.
• All out. Towards Peaks of Prestige – Earn the title of Apex Duelist through countless challenges of the dueling game.
• Lolo Campaign: Verification – Save Maji’s campaign and verify the reliability of Lollo campaign.
• Virtual Crisis Frontier Trials – Crisis Trial Battle event, earn new titles completing the challenge.

New permanent battle challenges:

• Tactical Hologram: Kelpie – New simulated battle challenge.
• Banners Never Fall – Join the Tacet Discord hunt and carve your path to glory.

Area events:

• The Everglorious Summit – Area exploration event.
• Uncovering Past Heroes – Photo Collection Event.
• Septimont Travel Atlas – Featured Exploration Event.

V2.4 List of Optimizations: 

• Global Filter – the update will introduce Global Filter feature for PC, PS5 and Mac. Select a filter that you prefer on the Global Filter page and adjust the intensity on the filter. Using this feature allows you to adjust in-game visuals. Note that cutscenes and UI will not be affected.
• Main Quest Fast Track Event – optimized the event “Next Stop: Rinascita”. After activating the Jinzhou Resonance Nexus during Main Quest, you can go to Rinascita directly and start experiencing V2.0 content.
• Improved interaction of certain assets. 
• Focus Mode for Story quests. Main Quest Focus Mode will become available once Wuthering Waves Version 2.4 goes live. In Focus Mode, no Resonator or location will become unavailable as you progress through a quest.
• In-Game Build Guides. Visit the in-game guide depot for information on how to build your Resonators and set up optimum team comps.

Yet that’s not all. The developers have also revealed the Solaris Seaside Story, a Fan made program, which will be announced properly at a later point. Stay tuned to find out more once the devs are ready to share!
