THQ-Nordic and Grimlore Games have announced the first major early access update to Titan Quest II. The update will arrive on Tuesday, September 30th, and features and all-new location/chapter along the Northern Beaches. The Northern Beaches brings new enemies, locations, three big new bosses, updated skills for every mastery, and “plenty of secrets to uncover.”
The team has also made some gameplay changes, including more combat variety, environmental storytelling, and “strategic depth.”
Players looking for a glimpse of what’s in store come September 30th will definitely want to check out today’s trailer, which showcases some of the new skills, such as the ice mage’s formidable freeze capabilities, and introduces new skills coming to the Earth tree.
Major features of the update
- Epic Showdown with the Ichthians: Battle through waves of Bruisers, commanders, and finally confront the mighty King of Tides, whose magic trident unleashes devastating cold-damage attacks.
- New skills across all masteries!
- Unleash icy control with the Frostbite skill tree, layering Cold Snap, Frost Explosion, and Deep Freeze for devastating chain reactions.
- Re-engineered Stone Form now allows channelled skills while active, paired with Shockwave and Rock Explosion for tactical crowd-control.
- Harness Earth’s raw power with Volcanic Eruption and a boosted Earthquake, protected by Stone Form’s defensive bonuses.
- Go head-to-head with the new Warfare skill Valor, calling down the Sword of Damocles for massive damage buffs… at a price.
