Developer Owlcat Games released a new hotfix 1.4.0.188 for Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader – Lex Imperialis. Now that the expansion is live, the patch deals with some of the reported issues. For some reason, the DLC gave extra troubles to Abelard specifically. But don’t worry, Lord Captain, your loyal Seneschal is back in business!

Update: the game also received hotfix 1.4.0.190, the fixes are added to the list below.
Rogue Trader: Lex Imperialis – Hotfix 1.4.0.188 Fixes:
- Abelard could become missing in Commorragh if Lex Imperialis expansion was activated in Act III. Fixed, let’s not have the dear seneschal suffer even more!
- If the first Abelard’s quest was failed or skipped, it was impossible to start the expansion content from a save in Act 4 due to the lack of the quest NPC – fixed;
- For the first arena of Commorragh, it was possible to get 3 companions if Solomorne, Abelard and Argenta were in the party – fixed, Abelard will come after the first arena in this case;
- In some circumstances, the Lord Captain would never get their original form back after the Feudal World of Thassera, resulting in a narrative inconsistency and a loss of access to inventory and levelling – fixed;
- The third combat on Commorragh arena sometimes never ended after all the enemies were defeated – fixed;
Regarding the last two fixes, the developers note the following: “because we wanted to deploy these fixes as early as possible, these two changes will not be retroactive, which means you will need to reload an earlier save if you want to continue playing right now. Existing saves with this problem will be repaired a bit later, with one of the following updates.“
In other news, the developers have also kicked off a new Lex Imperialis Twitch Drops campaign. Between now and July 15, watch your favorite streamers play the new expansion and have a lot of fun discussing your impressions while you earn exclusive in-game items!
The drops include:
- Vox-whistle – a simple trinket that drives Familiars into a frenzy;
- Arbites Handcuffs – restrain nearby foes so they can’t strike back at you;
- Welded Gloves – with every strike endured, the shield grows firmer.
