The latest Genshin Impact update, Version 5.7, is live now! Travelers can already pull for Skirk, do her personal quest, or take part in the latest story of the Traveler and their sibling. The update also adds a new permanent event for players to enjoy: Stygian Onslaught.
Stygian Onslaught is a permanent battle event that will be available regularly in each version. Travelers can challenge five tiers of difficulty, each with three time-limited combat stages. Note that it requires three separate parties. Those who play Honkai: Star Rail or Zenless Zone Zero, can think of Apocalyptic Shadow and Deadly Assault as an example of what awaits.
Clear all three stages within the time limit to complete the challenge to obtain Primogems, the new Artifact enhancement item “Dust of Enlightenment”, and other bountiful rewards. During specific periods, completing battles while consuming Resin grants up to 3× rewards from your chosen Domains of Blessing.
Stygian Onslaught unlocks 8 days after each version update and runs for 5 weeks. After the event begins, a 10-day Disturbance Outbreak will be activated. During this period, Travelers completing battles on Hard III or above can spend different types of Resin to obtain rewards from a corresponding Domain of Blessing.
