Govee Unveils TV Backlight 3 Pro, Other New Lighting at IFA 2025

If your living room already looks like a boss arena thanks to RGB strips, Govee just dropped a whole arsenal of upgrades to make sure your house can glow harder than a LAN party in 2003. At IFA 2025, the company showcased its latest lineup of smart lighting gear, headlined by the Govee TV Backlight 3 Pro and the Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights Prism.

The star of the show was the TV Backlight 3 Pro, which comes equipped with an industry-first HDR triple-camera system that reads the colors on your TV and blasts matching light across your wall. It even packs HDR capture capability, which means you are not just getting colors that sort of match, you are getting cinema-level ambiance with actual detail. Add in a beefed-up LuminBlend light strip with 30% more brightness and Govee’s new 16-bit color chip wizardry, and your Netflix binge will look like you are inside the screen.

Govee is also flexing its AI muscles here. The backlight utilizes deep learning to automatically tweak color balance and saturation so the mood on your wall matches the mood in your movie or game. Explosions get hotter, night scenes get moodier, and your friends will definitely ask when you had time to build a home theater.

If you’re ready to update or expand your holiday light show, Govee unveiled the Permanent Outdoor Lights Prism. This setup features the industry’s first triple-color “Tri-Light” system, letting you create seamless light shows that will make your neighbors’ Christmas displays look like Lite-Brites in comparison. It is durable enough to survive -30°F winters and scorching 140°F summers, all while lasting up to 50,000 hours. If Skeletor lived next door, these lights would outlast his entire reign of terror.

The showcase did not stop there. Govee also rolled out a Curtain Light Pro for DIY GIFs and animations on your wall, a Pendant Light with customizable zones, a Star Light Projector (Nebula) that basically turns your bedroom into a planetarium, and Christmas Sparkle String Lights that will make holiday decorating feel like you unlocked a new raid tier.

All of these toys play nice with Matter, Alexa, Google, and Apple Home, so you can bark commands at your smart speaker and watch your house respond. You can also sync them with other Govee gear for full-house light choreography, because why stop at one glowing room when you can live inside a music video?

The Govee TV Backlight 3 Pro and Permanent Outdoor Lights Prism hit the market in late September through the company’s website and Amazon. The Curtain Lights Pro launches September 8, with the rest of the lineup following soon after.

Bottom line, Govee just made it even harder to have a “normal” living room. But really, who wants that when you can live in a neon fortress of solitude?
